Man From Region Accused Of Burglarizing Connecticut Home A 33-year-old New York man is accused of burglarizing a Connecticut home.  Police responded to a report of a burglary in the Litchfield County town of Norfolk at about 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, according to Connecticut State Police.  At the scene, troopers found a hammer and crowbar used to pry open a kitchen window, and the homeowner said he had security footage of the suspect entering an unsecured entryway toward the area where the tools were found, police said.  Police said the suspect fled the scene before troopers arrived.  Authorities later were able to ide…

Motorcycle Crashes After Bear Runs Onto Route 202 In Litchfield County Two area residents out for a Sunday drive were injured after a bear ran in front of their motorcycle, causing them to crash after clipping the animal. The crash occurred around 1:35 p.m. Sunday on the Litchfield Turnpike (Route 202), said Connecticut State Trooper Kelly Grant.  According to Grant, Paul Padua and Theresa Kochiss-Padua, both of Norfolk in Litchfield County, were traveling eastbound on a 2014 Harley Davidson when a bear ran in front of them, hitting the motorcycle.  Both received minor injuries and were transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment.
