Man From Region Caught Burglarizing Tattoo Shop By Employee, Police Say A 34-year-old man from the region was nabbed after he allegedly broke into an area tattoo studio. The incident took place in Sullivan County in the town of Liberty around 9:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the City Lights II Tattoo Studio on Route 52. According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, the sheriff's department responded to the studio after receiving a report of a burglary in progress. The Village of Liberty Police arrived on the scene first and detained the suspect for the responding deputies, Chaboty said. Deputies arrested Byron T. Santiago, age 34, of Woodbourne. …

Police Chief Blames NY's Bail Reform Law For 'Serial Intoxicated Driver' Busted 3 Months In Row A New York police chief is blasting the state’s bail reform laws, claiming they are directly to blame for a repeat DWI offender who was arrested three times in just as many months. Albany County resident Brandon McKinley, age 42, of Watervliet, was sentenced to an aggregate term of three to nine years in prison in Albany County Court Tuesday, Nov. 15. The sentence followed his September 2022 guilty plea to three counts of driving while intoxicated, a felony.
