Woman, Child Struck By Drunk Driver In SUV, Police Say An area woman and child were injured after being struck by an alleged drunk driver while crossing a roadway in the rain. The incident took place in Orange County around 9:50 p.m., Saturday, March 19, on Route 208 in the town of Monroe. When police arrived on the scene, they found a 21-year-old woman and a 4-year-old girl had been struck by a 2021 Ford Explorer driven by Pamelia Lee, age 64 of Blooming Grove, said Sgt. Body Of Man Pulled From Lake In Harriman State Park The body of a possible drowning victim was pulled by dive teams from a lake in Harriman State Park near the border of Rockland and Orange counties on Monday morning. Lake Skannatati in Tuxedo was closed during the search. The man went underwater early Sunday afternoon. Thiells Fire Department divers were called to the scene after the Tuxedo Town Fire Department, Monroe Fire Department, Cronomer Valley Fire Department and  Stony Point Fire Department all responded. Area Home Damaged In Three-Alarm Fire A three-alarm fire damaged an Orange County home but was quickly extinguished with help from other volunteer agencies. The Goshen Fire Department received the call around 8:54 p.m. Wednesday at 12 West St., in the village for smoke alarms going off in the residence, the Goshen Fire Department said. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke showing from the second floor.
