Superintendent: Beacon HS Social Media Threat Non-Credible A threat made on social media against Beacon High School that drew extra police coverage on campus has been deemed non-credible. Beacon Superintendent Matthew Landahl said in a statement to parents on Thursday that the district became aware of the threat late Wednesday night and notified police. "We are working closely with the Beacon Police Department on this matter and we are confident in our working with BPD that this situation is under control," he said.   An extra police officer was on campus to calm fears during the school day.
