Superintendent Search: Carmel Central School District Hosting Forum For Public Input A Putnam County school district is asking for public input as it begins its search for a new superintendent.  The Carmel Central School District Board of Education will hold a public superintendent search forum on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the George Fischer Middle School Auditorium at 281 Fair St., district officials announced.  The search follows the May 2023 resignation of former Superintendent Mary-Margaret Zehr, who joined the district in Nov. 2020.  After Zehr's departure, Joseph McGrath was named interim superintendent in July.  At Wednesda…

Carmel School District Names New Superintendent The Carmel Central School District has tabbed a veteran upstate New York educator to take over as its new Superintendent of Schools.
