6 Dealers Nabbed In Hudson Valley Holiday Crackdown, Drug Task Force Says To "clean up the streets" from drug dealers before the holidays, a Hudson Valley drug task force initiated a special operation, arresting six alleged dealers. The Dutchess County Drug Task Force initiated "Operation Silent Night" in early October in an attempt to aggressively investigate and arrest drug dealers before the holidays. According to Det. Sgt. Man Returning From Car Show Killed After 1967 Convertible Overturns On Area Roadway A Hudson Valley man coming home from a car show in his 1967 Chevy convertible was killed after hitting a guard rail. The crash took place in Orange County around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the town of Goshen on Route 94. According to Deputy Chief Allen Faust, of the Goshen Police, John Smith, age 52, of the Village of Florida, veered off the roadway, hit a guard rail, and then an earth embankment before flipping over. Putnam Man Charged With DWI After Crash In Yorktown A one-vehicle crash in Yorktown led to the arrest of a Putnam man who was allegedly drinking and driving, police said. Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to East Main Street at approximately 10:50 p.m. on Aug. 24, where there was a report of a crash involving with injuries to a driver. The investigation into the crash found that John Smith, 67, of Putnam Valley was allegedly driving with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent and failed to maintain his lane while driving, leading to the crash.  Smith was arrested and charged at Yorktown Police Headquarte…
