Kathy Hochul announced major new measures to address a winter surge. Masks will be required to be worn in all indoor public places unless businesses or venues implement a vaccine requirement, Hochul said. Covid-19: Putnam Sheriff Takes Issue With State Law Limiting Number Of People At Gatherings With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, the Putnam County Sheriff is taking issue with a new state law limiting non-essential indoor gatherings to 10 people. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced last week, that effective Friday, Nov. 13, all non-essential indoor gatherings at a private residence to 10 people.
