Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child In Area A 55-year-old area man has been accused of sexually abusing a child, state police said. The charge comes after state police said a tip led to an investigation that determined Orange County resident John Suchomel, of Monroe, sexually abused the child under the age of 13 in the village of Philmont. Police: Man Lured Child On Social Media Before Committing Rape In Putnam A 21-year-old man is behind bars after state police say he lured a 13-year-old on social media to send photos before eventually breaking into the victim's home and committing forcible rape. Allegations of sexual assault were reported to state police on Monday, June 25 in Carmel. A subsequent investigation found Anthony E. Barrera Ramirez of Dover began having conversations with the child on a social media application, police said.
