Driver Rescued After Rollover Crash In Carmel During Storm Amid a wintry Nor'easter, first responders were tasked with rescuing a driver who became trapped in their vehicle as the result of a rollover at a Hudson Valley intersection.  The rollover happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Jan. 7 around 7:30 a.m., when a vehicle overturned on its side in Carmel at the intersection of Hill and Dale Road (Route 44) and Fair Street (Route 60), according to the Carmel Fire Department.  Arriving first responders soon found that the driver was trapped inside the vehicle and worked to extricate them. Nyseg Upgrading Transmission Line In Putnam County Following multiple large-scale storms that left thousands in the Hudson Valley without power in recent years, NYSEG announced that it is working to upgrade its transmission system in Putnam County to aid customers during future weather events.
