Cuomo's Clemency Grant Of Brinks Robbery Getaway Driver In Hudson Valley Sparks Outrage Now-former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo granted clemency to six people on his way out of office in Albany, drawing a backlash. Cuomo, whose resignation officially took effect as of 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, commuted the sentences of four people, referred one case to the parole board, and gave another a full pardon during his final hours in office. Officer Injured After Attack At Correctional Facility In Area An officer at an area correctional facility was injured after being attacked by an inmate. The incident happened in Dutchess County at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville took place on Monday, Oct. 28, resulting in several non-life threatening injuries, said DOCCS spokesperson Thomas Mailey. The officer was transported by a state vehicle to a local hospital for treatment, Mailey said.
