Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child In Area A 55-year-old man has been arrested for the sexual assault of a child. Victor A. Lopez, 55, of East Fishkill, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 29, by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Child Advocacy Center, said Capt. John Watterson. Lopez is accused of subjecting a child to sexual contact over an extended period of time. Woman Accused Of Assaulting Child In Area A woman accrued felony charges for hitting and verbally abusing her child on numerous occasions in the area, said police.  Crystal Whyble, of LaGrange, 28, was charged with the felony of second-degree assault and the misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child on Tuesday, Oct. 6.  The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office and the county's Child Advocacy Center had been investigating Whyble's treatment of the child after the latter group was notified that the child was injured Friday, June 26 of this year. Man Charged In Assault Of 1-Month-Old Baby In Area A 23-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly seriously injuring a 1-month-old baby during an attack. The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Child Advocacy Center, said Vasileios Papaemmanouil of LaGrange was arrested on Friday, May 22. Area Man Arrested For Rape Of Child Under 15, Police Say A 20-year-old man has been arrested for the alleged rape of a child under the age of 15 in the area. Lonnie E. Pesano, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 7, by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, said Capt. John Watterson. Pesano was arrested following an investigation by the Sheriff's Office and the Child Advocacy Center, Watterson said. Watterson said there is no threat to public safety.
