The Mount Vernon Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of Mount Vernon High School on California Road shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 13. Large Fight Breaks Out On School Bus In Hudson Valley Police responded to a fight on a county bus that involved students, according to Mount Vernon Police. The incident took place around 3:20 p.m. Monday on the bus at the intersection of 500 N Columbus Ave. and California Road in Mount Vernon, said Maria Donovan, spokeswoman for the Mount Vernon Police. The Westchester County Police Department was called in to assist during the "minor skirmish" that was resolved without an arrest, said Donovan.
