Photo: Man Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting
A police officer was shot during an altercation that resulted in the death of an armed suspect in the area. It happened on Friday, March 27, at around 5 p.m. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler and City of Newburgh Police Chief Douglas Solomon released images, including the one above, from a body-worn camera that show the man, in his mid 20s, brandishing a pistol in the vicinity of 40 Williams Street as he fought with City of Newburgh police officers.
