Northern Westchester Man Sentenced For Attempted Murder A Northern Westchester man has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison after he pleaded guilty to attempted murder and a weapons charge when he shot a man in Ossining last year, authorities announced. Mario Mieles, 32, of Ossining, pleaded guilty in February to attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon after shooting at a man nine times with a semi-automatic pistol, striking him multiple times.
