The March 4 event allowed 14 male seniors to compete. The winner was determined by a combination of how much money the students raised for the Foundation and their performance on the night on the contest, the district said.
The teens, who drew a crowd of about 500 people, were judged on four categories: formal wear, questionnaire, hidden talent and group dance.
Matthew Catalano, the winner of the competition, was named Mr. Brewster. The follow-up contestants were Cameron Dyas, Nick Panucci and Matt Catalano. The four teens raised more than $4,000 each for the cause.
The Brewster High School SALTY (Save A Life of Today's Youth) Hands Club has made raising money for a Cystic Fibrosis cure its mission. The group's next event is the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk at Putnam County's Veteran's Memorial Park on June 5.
