Structure Fire In Mahopac Displaces 10

MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- About 10 people were displaced Friday night afte a structure fire at 902 Lake Boulevard in Mahopac Friday evening.

The structure houses stores on the ground floor and apartments on the second floor. Those displaced were from five separate apartments.

Mahopac, Mahopac Falls and standby crews from Mohegan responded. Carmel Police, EMStar paramedics and Mahopac Fire Police set up along Lake Boulevard as traffic was detoured away from the fire.

Carmel FD's ladder truck also responded.

The Bureau of Emergency Services, the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team and a crew from NYSE&G were requested to the scene.
