A Carmel woman reported jewelry had been stolen from her residence on Friday, Jan. 8, officials report.
The case was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), according to police.
Members of BCI conducted an investigation, and identified Erica Turner of Wappingers Falls as a suspect, police report.
Turner was arrested and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony, on Wednesday, according to officials.
She was arraigned before Town of Southeast Justice Richard Vercollone and held at the Putnam County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond, pending a future appearance in the Town of Carmel Justice Court to answer the charge, officials report.
