Man Nabbed In Putnam With 26 License Suspensions

A Dutchess County man was busted by state police in Putnam with more than two dozen active suspensions on his license.

New York State Police troopers stopped 27-year-old Pawling resident Gregg Rooney-Wolfe on Route 311 in Patterson shortly before 9 a.m. on Friday morning. During the stop, police said that the Department of Motor Vehicles confirmed that Rooney-Wolfe had 26 active suspensions.

Troopers arrested Rooney-Wolfe and charged him with a felony count of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was remanded to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $2,500 bond. He is due back in the Town of Patterson Justice Court on Nov. 14 to answer the charge.
