Carmel Man Faces DWI Charge After Car Crash

CARMEL, N.Y. -- A Carmel man was busted for drunk driving following a property damage crash at Tri County Coal, according to Carmel police.

Robert Carlisle, 49, was arrested by Carmel police after he drove over a stone barrier into the parking lot of the business, hitting another vehicle in the lot on Saturday, Aug. 19, police said.

When officers arrived they determined he was intoxicated and charged with DWI and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol level of .18 percent or higher, police said. 

Carlisle was released on his own recognizance.
