Carmel Man Charged With DWI After Collision On I-84

EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. – A Carmel man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated Tuesday after he sideswiped a construction vehicle on Interstate 84, according to New York State Police.

Paul C. Willman, 23, was traveling east on I-84 at around 9:35 p.m. when he swiped the parked vehicle. A subsequent investigation conducted by police from the East Fishkill barracks revealed Willman had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, more than twice the legal limit, according to the report. 

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash, officials said.

Willman was released and issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of East Fishkill Court Wednesday, Nov. 11, according to police.
