Carmel Man Arrested On Drug Charges

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – A Carmel man was arrested and charged with drug possession by Putnam County deputy sheriffs after a traffic stop in Mahopac on Thursday morning, March 3.

Eric Lopata, 23, faces charges after deputies found heroin in his car while it was stopped on Agor Lane in Mahopac.

Lopata was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and released on $250 bail.
