Convery did not take a breath test and did not call Carmel police, which had jurisdiction, but instead called his own deputies to investigate, according to Lohud. Both of those actions were in direct violation of county policy, Lohud reported.
Convery was driving a county-owned Chevrolet Suburban when he backed into a parked Honda sedan, causing more than $1,000 in damage to the Honda’s passenger side, Lohud reported.
