PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – Putnam County Legislator Sam Oliverio discussed a need for transparency regarding county spending at a July 14 committee meeting, reports The Examiner.

Oliverio said transparency would improve communication with county residents. Other cities, such as Poughkeepsie, list county expenses and reasons for spending on their website, opening the door for communicating financial information to residents according to the report.
