Latest Update - I-684 Stretch Reopens After Serious Crash

All lanes have now reopened on a stretch of I-684 after a serious crash with injuries.

The crash, reported at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, happened northbound just south of Exit 4 (Route 172) in Bedford.

Both the left and center lanes were blocked before all three lanes closed. The lanes reopened around 2:30 p.m.

State Police had urged motorists to take Exit 3N (Route 22) as an alternate while the lanes were closed.

Specific info on the number and extent of injuries has not yet been released.
