Housekeeper, 48, Charged With Stealing In Brewster

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- New York Stat Police from the Brewster barracks charged a woman with grand larceny on Wednesday, according to officials.

Mayra Hernandez, 48, of Waterbury, Conn., allegedly stole a sum of cash from a house where she worked as a housekeeper. The money was allegedly stolen from an unsecured vehicle on the property, police said.

Hernandez was arrested and held on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 13, police said.
