Brewster Woman Reunites With Guide Dog After Bus Accident

BREWSTER, N.Y. – Brewster resident Audrey Stone, who spent months in a rehabilitation hospital, was reunited with her guide dog, Figo, on Monday, after both were hit by a bus June 8, reports lohud.

Stone and Figo, a golden retriever, were hit by a bus while crossing the street four months ago. Figo tried to protect Stone by putting himself between the bus and his owner, resulting in various injuries to Stone and a wounded leg for Figo, according to the report. Stone treated for her injuries in Danbury.

Stone, who has had Figo for just over six years, said that Figo has acted to protect her before.
