Putnam's Bull & Barrel Brew Pub Is Area's Rockin' Country Destination

BREWSTER, N.Y. - Bull & Barrel Brewery/Restaurant owners Wendy Wulkan and Rick Cipriano want people to think of their place as the go-to destination in Putnam County - as well as nearby Fairfield and upper Weschester - for a good time.

Bull & Barrel brews its own craft beers - an American Wheat style brewed with local wildflower honey - and serves up everything from appetizers and salads to burgers, BBQ 'skillets,' sandwiches, full entrees and desserts.

Regular live entertainment is featured, and there's also line dancing, and a mechanical bull for those who want some real action.

Bull & Barrel recently added an outdoor Beer Garden for another option for events, and where guests can enjoy backyard games or just sip some of the house brew on tap.They also have a full banquet room with private bar and bathroom.

"People seem to love our bull riding, and our signature honey blueberry beer, which won two awards this year at TAP NY," Wulkan told Daily Voice during a recent visit.

Friday nights can be any style band, but Saturday nights are devoted to country music and line dancing. Line dancing is also featured on Tuesday nights from 7 to 11 p.m.
