Citing data from Yelp, NewYorkUpstate has released its latest report of the municipalities that feature the best sandwiches, soups, salads and other lunch staples. The businesses “are all in the restaurant and food categories on Yelp, and have a significant number of reviews mentioning the word "lunch."
Factors that determine ranking include number of reviews, star ranking and number of negative reviews.”
The report only includes restaurants from upstate - which is considered north of Westchester and Rockland counties - in the rankings.
The Hudson Valley eateries making the list are:
Beacon Bread Company (28th overall) on Main Street in Beacon.
The report highlights one customer, who said "Everyone loved their food and the coffee was great as well. Definitely stop by if you're in the area."
Dottie Audrey's Bakery Kitchen (eighth) on Route 17 in Tuxedo Park.
According to one customer, "We found this place on our way back to the City after a rainy apple picking adventure. We were greeted with so much kindness. I got a caramel latte and pork belly sandwich and it was perfect! The food is amazing and the portions are huge! Thank you for the friendliness and hospitality."
Rossi Rosticceria Deli (first) on Clover Street in Poughkeepsie.
One customer said, "The sandwiches are huge and so incredibly delicious. So flavorful and all the ingredients are super authentic Italian and fresh. You can't go wrong with any of the special sandwich's but I personally prefer to build my own."
