Spotlight Arts In Brewster Announces Cast of 'Grease'

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Just when it's hot and muggy, Spotlight Arts in Brewster will present “Grease! School Version” July 21 and July 23 at New Fairfield High School to lighten up the mood and hopefully, cool things down. 

During this year's production of the classic musical comedy set in 1959, Spotlight Arts has two casts consisting of 50 local students including: Head "greaser" Danny Zuko, played by R.J. Frankenberry in Cast A and Brandon Salamone in Cast B, and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski, played by Megan Campbell in Cast A and Sydney Gershon in cast B.

Other local students from Putnam, Dutchess and Fairfield counties include Hannah Pucci of Danbury; Stephanie Coraci of Ridgefield; Emma Duffy of New Fairfield; Noah Emke, Noah Pieratti and Jessica Tocci of Pawling; Samantha Altman, Julie Daza, Asher Duke, Hannah Martin, Michaela Milmerstadt, Stephanie Ricker and Anthony Velez of Carmel; Kelli Rabasco of Poughquag; Joe Castellano, Crystal Colon, Bridget Courtney, Sarah Daleo and Erin Vaughan of Patterson; Aaron Lurin, Joe Likens, Michael Malanga, Layla MacDonald, Erin Kirkpatrick, Cecilia Guida, Grace Curley, Michael Seaman, Grace Lara, Caitlin Otto, Tommy Froessel, Carly Guida, Sarah Borsari, Izzy Izaguirre, Jaclyn Anderek, Emily Sullivan, Grace Stathatos, Charlie Fitzpatrick, Rhiana Brennan, Gunnar Gabriel, Tommy Froessel, Marisa Milani, Gillian Anderson, Katie Thompson, Jennifer DeSantis, Juliene Gabriel, Danielle Castellano, and Kaitlin Balfe of Brewster. 

Stephanie Rubino, Spotlight Arts’ artistic director, who also directs for Brewster schools and helped Brewster High School bring home three Metropolitan High School Theatre Awards in 2015, and eight nominations this year, will be directing the two casts. 

Cast A performs July 21 at 7:30 p.m. and July 23 at 2:00 p.m. Cast B performs on July 22 and July 23 at 7:30 p.m. 

General admission tickets are $10 online before July 20 or $15 at the door. "Grease! School Version" is presented through special arrangement with Samuel French Inc. Tickets can be purchased at www.SpotlightArtsInc.com
