A Westchester man has been sentenced to more than a decade in prison after being convicted of multiple street robberies, including one involving an 11-year-old boy.
Yonkers resident William Hines, 52, has been sentenced to serve 11.5 to 20.5 years in state prison after he was found guilty by a jury last year of robbing three victims and assaulting one of them, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr, announced.

A Westchester man has been convicted of multiple street robberies, including one involving an 11-year-old boy, the District Attorney’s Office announced.
Yonkers resident William Hines, 64, was found guilty by a jury of robbing three victims and assaulting one of them, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr, announced.
Scarpino said that on three different days, Hines robbed three victims in Yonkers.
At approximately 5:40 p.m. on Jan. 6 this year, near the intersection of Palisade Avenue and Walsh Road, Hines allegedly stole cash from an 11-year-old boy.
