Tractor-Trailer Strikes Bridge, Causing Gridlock On Westchester Roadway
A lane of a roadway in the region is closed after a tractor-trailer struck a bridge, causing lengthy delays. The incident happened in Westchester County on the northbound side of the Hutchinson River Parkway at Weaver Street in Scarsdale just before 7 p.m. Monday, April 17, Westchester County Police said. Westchester Man Busted For Second DWI In Six Years
An allegedly drunk driver attempted to flee the scene of an early morning crash over the weekend before ultimately being apprehended by police in Westchester. A 26-year-old man was arrested after allegedly spray-painting graffiti along the Hutchinson River Parkway and attempting to elude officers by running back and forth across the highway. A 23-year-old man with a dozen suspensions on his license took officers on a short high-speed chase in Westchester before it came to a crashing halt when he struck an ornamental tree, police said. Truck Crashes Into Overpass On Hutchinson River Parkway
Traffic on the Hutchinson River Parkway was temporarily backed up around Scarsdale when an oversized truck struck an overpass. The incident occurred at Exit 21 (Weaver Street/Scarsdale/ Mamaroneck), when a tractor-trailer struck the overpass on Tuesday afternoon, May 7 at around 12:30 p.m. The extent of the damage to the overpass has not been reported.
