A school district in the Hudson Valley paused home athletic competitions following a shooting that injured three people after a high school football game. Police ID 'Persons Of Interest' In Shooting Injuring 3 After HS Football Game In Hudson Valley
Do you know them? Police have identified two "persons of interest" after three people were shot following a high school football game overnight in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30 in Orange County at the Newburgh Free Academy when police say a fight broke out in the north parking lot after the game against visiting Warwick Valley High School. Power Outage Causes Closure At High School In Hudson Valley
A high school in the Hudson Valley is closed on Tuesday, Sept. 13 due to a power outage. In Orange County, Warwick Valley High School is closed for both in-person and remote learning due to the power outage caused by a blown transformer, the Warwick Valley Central School District announced. "The power outage is isolated to Warwick Valley High School," the district said in an announcement on its website. 19: New Student Tests Positive At Hudson Valley School
Another student in the Hudson Valley has tested positive for COVID-19, though it is unclear whether any buildings will have to be temporarily closed. The Warwick Valley Central School District issued a letter to parents over the weekend alerting them that a student at Park Avenue Elementary tested positive for the virus on Friday, Oct. 9. Officials said the student was last at the building on Tuesday, Sept. 29, and the district is working with the Orange County Department of Health to determine the next steps moving forward.
