Hudson Valley Woman Driving Drunk Crashes Into House, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman was arrested after allegedly running off a roadway, hitting a utility pole and then a house while driving under the influence. The Ulster County incident happened around 10:25 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5 in Saugerties. Officers responded to 6 1st St., for a report of a Jeep into a house. Upon arrival investigating officers established that a 2003 Jeep had left the roadway, struck a utility pole, then veered off the pole, coming to rest against a private residence, according to Chief Joseph Sinagra of the Saugerties Police. Hudson Valley Man Flushed Victim's Dentures Down Toilet, Broke Their Glasses, Cops Say A Hudson Valley man is facing charges after his alleged bizarre behavior during a domestic dispute. In Ulster County, Saugerties Police were called at around 5 a.m. Thursday, July 21, with reports of an altercation at a home on Partition Street. Officers determined that at some point during the dispute, Robert Amirault, age 45, had destroyed the victim’s dentures by flushing them down a toilet and broke a pair of the victim’s reading glasses, police said. Ulster County resident Enrique Plaza, age 29, of Saugerties was arrested on multiple charges stemming from the altercation at a home on Livingston Street, Saugerties Police said. Officers were called to the residence shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday, May 29, with reports of a physical domestic dispute. Hudson Valley Man Punched Girlfriend In Head 20 Times, Police Say A man from the region is facing charges after allegedly beating his girlfriend. Officers were called to an Ulster County home in the Village of Saugerties on Russell Street at around 4 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, with reports of a physical domestic dispute, according to police. Investigators determined that Trevor Bell, age 26, of Saugerties, had held the woman down and punched her in the head approximately 20 times, police said.
