Denise Martabano Lupia, 63, Taught 22 Years In Katonah-Lewisboro Schools
Denise Marie Martabano Lupia (nee Edman) of Winter Park, FL passed away peacefully with a smile on her face on February 21, 2022 with her husband David Lupia by her side. She was 63 years old. She was born in Kingston, NY on July 1, 1958 to Donald and Noel Edman. Denise was the eldest of five children and grew up in Katonah. During her childhood, Denise discovered her passion for cooking and gardening, which she learned from her mother. A strong cold front may produce brief bursts of snow and blustery conditions this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. After the latest winter storm pushed off the coast of New England, colder and drier conditions will dominate on Saturday, Feb. 26 as the high temperature struggles to reach the freezing mark with wind-chill values in the teens. Projected snowfall totals have increased for a storm system sweeping through the Northeast creating slippery travel in much of the region. For look at the latest snowfall projections for the storm on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 13, click on the first and second images above from the National Weather Service. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has advised against travel to Canada due to the risk of COVID-19. The CDC added Canada to its list of countries that are considered "Very High" risk for COVID-19, the highest level of risk for COVID-19. According to The Hill, the update was made to the agency's travel guidelines on Sunday, Jan. 9. Projected Snowfall Totals Increase For Disruptive Storm Taking Aim On Region
New projected snowfall totals have increased for a winter storm that is threatening to make for a potentially hazardous morning commute. The time frame for the storm is overnight Thursday, Jan. 6, into Friday, Jan. 7. A general 3 to 5 inches of accumulation is now expected, including in areas as far south as New York City and Long Island, the National Weather Service said in a Hazardous Weather Outlook Statement released Thursday morning. Westchester County Man Busted At JFK Airport With Handgun
Thanksgiving travel got off to a rocky start for a Westchester man who was busted by TSA officers at the JFK Airport with a loaded handgun. On Monday, Nov. 22, officers spotted a man with a .22-caliber handgun at one of the security checkpoints at the airport, loaded with four bullets inside. TSA officials alerted the Port Authority Police, who responded to the checkpoint, confiscated the gun, and arrested a man from Tuckahoe on multiple weapons charges. Body Found In Forest Officially ID'd As Gabby Petito, Manner Of Death Ruled Homicide
The body found in a Wyoming national park over the weekend has officially been identified as missing New York woman Gabby Petito. The Teton County Coroner Brent Blue confirmed the identification, according to an announcement from the FBI late Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 21. The FBI said the coroner's initial determination for Petito's manner of death is homicide, and the cause of her death remains pending final autopsy results.
