Temporary Water Shutdown, Road Closure Announced In Croton-On-Hudson
Water service will be disrupted and roads closed in Croton-on-Hudson as crews conduct hydrant work in the village. Elected officials in Croton-on-Hudson issued an alert warning that beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, water will be turned off in the vicinity of Maple Street, and later on Old Post Road South at approximately 9 p.m. Officials said that residents who will be affected have been notified of the shutdown. During the hydrant work, Maple Street will be closed westbound between Grand Street and Old Post Road South. Eastbound traffic is not expected to be impacted.

New Tappan Zee Bridge Expected To Open In Full Within Weeks
With an opening date scheduled for mid-September, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo made a tour of the new Tappan Zee Bridge on Monday to check out the progress. Expect Delays: Weekslong Sprain Brook Parkway Lane Closures Scheduled
There will be single and double lane closures on the Sprain Brook Parkway for more than two weeks as contracting crews continue construction activity in Westchester County. The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert on Wednesday, warning that there will be closures beginning on Monday, Aug. 27 in Mount Pleasant, Greenburgh and Elmsford as crews work in the area. A multi-million dollar paving project is set to begin on one of Scarsdale’s busiest roadways. Overnight ramp and lane closures have been scheduled as contracting crews continue road resurfacing projects on I-684 and I-84. The New York State Department of Transportation says that overnight ramp closures have been scheduled as part of the ongoing pavement construction in Putnam County. Electronic Speed Indicator Signs Installed Near Route 6
For those who enjoy putting the pedal to the metal, they might want to check the impulse when entering the City of Peekskill. In an effort to slow down speeders, the city's police department recently installed an electronic speed indicator sign to remind driver's how fast they are traveling. The sign is located on Main Street near the Stop & Shop at Route 6 where the speed limit drops from 25 mph to 15 mph. There will be lane closures in Stamford for several days as crews begin a road resurfacing project in on Long Ridge Road. The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that beginning on Monday, May 14, there will be a 2.7-mile project performed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the road that is expected to last through Friday, May 18. As part of a multi-million-dollar project to expand the natural gas distribution system in Darien and New Canaan, Eversource Energy will be working along State Routes 106 and 124 beginning the week of April 30.
