Fire Breaks Out At Home In Area Just After Nor'easter Arrives Just as a fierce Nor'easter moved into Fairfield County, firefighters were out battling an early-morning house fire. The fire started around 1:20 a.m., Monday, Feb. 1, at a home on Treat Avenue in Stamford. Shortly after midnight, on Friday, Dec. 4, Stamford firefighters were alerted to a report of a house fire on Smoke Hill Drive in North Stamford.
