17-Year-Old Dies After Jumping From Bridge In Newtown A 17-year-old boy has died after being pulled from the water underneath a bridge in Fairfield County that he had jumped from, police said.  The 17-year-old's death resulted from an incident that happened on Thursday, July 27 just before 2 p.m., when Newtown Police officers responded to the Silver Bridge on Glen Road near the Southbury town line after receiving a call for help. Dutchess County resident Michael Ambron, of Fishkill, died suddenly of heart failure at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday, July 26, according to his obituary. Ambron grew up in the Bronx, and he graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers. He went on to earn degrees from Manhattan College and Iona College, his obituary said. Area Motorcyclist Killed In I-84 Crash A 48-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on I-84 on Thursday. The crash occurred around 7:01 a.m. at the Rochambeau Bridge in Southbury, when William Jasmin of Danbury lost control of his motorcycle, according to Connecticut State Police. After losing control, the motorcycle struck the concrete bridge rail off the right side of the roadway, state police said.
