Ridgefield Health Director Ed Briggs confirmed the town currently has 46 COVID-19 active cases with the ages of those infected ranging from 19-89 as of early Thursday afternoon, March 26. In the last 24 hours, Briggs said there are four new cases testing positive in the town. Christopher Evers, of North Salem, was stopped around 1:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, on Route 7 in the area of Blue Ridge Road for failing to display registration, said the Wilton Police Department. During the stop, Evers was found to be driving a Toyota minivan with an expired NY temporary plate and no insurance.
