Work Begins On $33M Resurfacing Projects On Major Westchester Roads
Two major resurfacing projects on busy Westchester roadways have commenced, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced. The infrastructure work, consisting of a $17 million project along Route 100 (Central Avenue) and a $16 million project on Route 9A (Briarcliff-Peekskill Parkway), has officially begun, Hochul announced on Thursday, July 11. Busy Main Route Reopens After Tree Falls In Westchester
This story has been updated. A part of a busy main route in Westchester has reopened to traffic after being briefly closed thanks to a downed tree. Hillside Avenue (Route 100) in Greenburgh at the intersection with Valimar Boulevard reopened at around 4 p.m. after being closed for less than two hours after a tree fell on the roadway, Greenburgh Police said on Friday, April 12. The department said the road was reopened so fast thanks to "outstanding work" from the Town of Greenburgh Department of Public Works.

Village Seeks $20M To Help Fix 'Outdated, Dilapidated' Main Route In Northern Westchester
A village in Northern Westchester is urging state officials to allocate $20 million toward designing improvements for a busy main route that has fallen into disrepair. In an announcement on Thursday, March 21, Briarcliff Manor village officials urged New York Gov. Both a 19-year-old man and a juvenile girl were arrested after allegedly leading authorities on a lengthy chase throughout numerous busy parkways in Westchester in a stolen vehicle, police said. One Injured In Separate Northern Westchester Crashes
One person was injured after separate crashes in Northern Westchester. The first crash took place around 8:30 a.m., Thursday, March 4, in Briarcliff Manor when a vehicle stopped on Route 9A on the Route 100 overpass causing a second vehicle to hit a guardrail, and then a third car hit the second vehicle, said the Briarcliff Manor Police. Police Seek To Find Owner Of iPad Lost In Northern Westchester
Missing an iPad? New York State Police troopers out of Troop K in Northern Westchester have issued an alert as they attempt to locate the owner of the iPad that was recently found. Police said that the iPad was located on Route 100 in the Town of Somers, and its owner has not yet come to claim it. Anyone who has information regarding the missing iPad, or believes it could be theirs, has been asked to contact State Police in Northern Westchester by calling (914) 769-2600 to leave a message for Trooper Thomas Charko.

Route 100 Stretch Reopens After Head-On Crash
This story has been updated. A stretch of Route 100 has reopened following a head-on crash. The crash was reported just before 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14 in Somers between Route 35 and Route 139. Both drivers were reportedly hospitalized with injuries. The roadway reopened by 6 p.m.

There were stop-and-go delays on northbound I-684 following a crash at Route 35 (Exit 6) in Katonah reported just before 4:30 p.m. Delays stretched back to Route 172 (Exit 4) in Bedford.
