The brand linked to the deaths, as well as 75,000 injuries, is Seresto, according to an investigation by the Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting. Data for the report was pulled from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency via public records requests by the Center for Biological Diversity. There have been reports of household pets taken in the Cove Road area of the city when they are unattended outdoors.  "We are advising EXTREME caution with this animal," the Stamford Police Department said. It happened on Sunday, Sept. 22 at approximately 5 p.m. on Shady Knoll Lane, New Canaan Police said. The dog owner was able to frighten the coyote and it dropped the dog.
