Bicycle Sundays Are Back In Westchester April showers bring May flowers. And the return of Bicycle Sundays to Westchester. The Westchester Parks Foundation and Westchester County Parks announced that Bicycle Sundays will begin on Sunday, May 5, when a stretch of the Bronx River Parkway will be closed for cyclists. Each year since 1974, more than 60,000 participants have biked, walked and jogged on a 13.1-mile loop of the parkway from White Plains to Yonkers.
