Northern Westchester Man Nabbed For Hit-Run Crash, Police Say
A Northern Westchester man turned himself in to police on a warrant after he allegedly hit a bicyclist earlier this year in Fairfield County and then fled the scene.
Christopher Lynch, age 51, of South Salem, was arrested on Tuesday, July 13, and charged with improper passing and evading responsibility for the crash which took place on Wednesday, April 28 in New Canaan.
According to New Canaan Police, Lynch was driving northbound on Smith Ridge Road when he struck the cyclist who was also traveling northbound.

Nuvance To Bring 500 Jobs From Other Locations To New Site In Fairfield County
In Connecticut's largest office space lease this year, Nuvance Health Systems has rented a 220,000 square foot office space in Danbury, and will hire 500 employees.
Nuvance, formerly Western Connecticut Medical, is leasing a portion space at the newly named "Summit at Danbury" space for 12 years and may expand to 300,000 square feet in the facility.
The space, according to Nuvance, will include its executive headquarters, labs, clinical facilities and its back offices.

Woman Hospitalized After Car Crashes Off Merritt Parkway
A woman was hospitalized after her car crashed off the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County overnight.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 in Norwalk.
When firefighters arrived with hospital paramedics and state police, the car, a Hyundai sedan, was found on its side, in a foot of water, between the parkway exit 40A ramp and the 1 Glover Avenue Condos, according to the Norwalk Fire Department.
The car appeared to have left the southbound exit ramp to Main Avenue and traveled 60 feet to the river below, the department said.

Stamford Teen, Two Minors Caught Hiding After Stealing From Vehicles In New Canaan, Police Say
Three teenagers attempted to hide from investigators in Fairfield County after being busted stealing from parked vehicles, police said.
Officers from the New Canaan Police Department responded to the intersection of Richmond Hill Road and Weed Street at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, where there were reports of suspects rummaging through parked vehicles.
Police said that officers located the first suspect, Stamford resident Kaymani Robinson, 19, hiding under a parked car in an Ash Tree Lane driveway.

A Wilton man suffering from the novel coronavirus is reportedly in a coma at an area hospital.
The Wilton resident who was confirmed with the virus on Sunday, March 8, has been put in a medically-induced coma, his wife told the Connecticut Post.
The man, between his 40s and 50s, began feeling ill after attending a cybersecurity conference in California on Friday, Feb. 28, and by Monday, March 2, he had a fever.

A funeral will be held for Lucas Richard McGee, 23 months, of New Canaan, who died after being hit by a car in the driveway of his New Canaan home on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Born at Stamford Hospital on Dec. 31, 2017, Lucas was the son of Conner and Kate McGee of New Canaan and the youngest of four children.
The child was hit around 8:42 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the home on North Wilton Road, said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro.
Known as “Lukey,” he was cherished by all who knew him, said his obituary.

ID Released For Boy Killed After Being Hit By Vehicle In Driveway Of New Canaan Home
The identity of the toddler who was killed after being struck by a vehicle in the driveway of a New Canaan home has been released.
The nearly 2-year-old boy, now identified as Lucas Richard McGee, was hit around 8:42 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the home on North Wilton Road, said New Canaan Police Lt. Jason Ferraro. The boy's date of birth is Dec. 31, 2017.
New Canaan Police, along with New Canaan Fire, and New Canaan Emergency Medical Services first responders arrived at the residence within minutes of the incident to provide emergency medical care, Ferraro said.

Johnathan Malizia Of New Canaan Dies At 32
Johnathan M. Malizia, a longtime resident of New Canaan, died on Tuesday, March 12 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 32.
He was born in Stamford on October 29, 1986, the son of Kenneth and Maureen Winters Malizia of New Canaan.
He graduated from New Canaan High School in 2004 and began working for his father’s local cleaning business. He loved music, traveling, fishing, animals and being with friends who also shared these passions.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his brother Austin Malizia of Stamford, and sister Jordan Malizia of New York City.
