Jordan Neely Death: Ex-Marine, NY HS Athlete Charged In Chokehold Killing Sparking Protests
A Marine Corps veteran from New York who was seen in a viral video choking a 30-year-old street artist to death on a Manhattan subway will be criminally charged. Daniel Penny, a Long Island resident from West Islip, will be arrested Friday, May 12, on a charge of second-degree manslaughter in the death of Jordan Neely, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office confirmed to Daily Voice. “We cannot provide any additional information until he has been arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court, which we expect to take place tomorrow,” the agency said in a statement.
