Republican Wins Somers Supervisor Race, Democrat Takes Cortlandt Post, Peekskill Elects Mayor
The votes have been counted in Northern Westchester and there are several new faces set to take office.
In Peekskill, Cortlandt, and Somers, new leaders have been chosen after they declared victory on Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Former Mayor In Westchester Dies At Age 60
Dennis Pilla, who served four terms as a mayor in Westchester, has died at the age of 60.
Pilla died peacefully on Thursday, July 8, according to his obituary. He was the Port Chester mayor from 2007 to 2013 and from 2015 to 2017.
Pilla was also formerly president of the Westchester Municipal Officials Association from 2012 to 2013, and a member of its executive committee from 2017 to 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Margoth Pilla, and his son, David. He is also survived by David's wife, Kristy, and their children, Danny and Lily.

Westchester Residents Elect Village Mayors, Trustees, Justices
Tuesday was Election Day for many villages in Westchester.
Races were uncontested in seven villages, listed at the end of this article.
There were contested elections in the villages of Bronxville, Buchanan, Larchmont, Pelham Manor, Scarsdale and Tuckahoe:
BRONXVILLE
Republican William Primps, with 504 votes, beat Democrat Natasha Nordahl, with 462 votes, in the race for a four-year term as Village Justice.
Mark Wood and William Barton were both elected to the Village Board of Trustees unopposed.
