ID Deadline For Air Travel
If you haven't gotten your REAL ID or enhanced driver's license yet, it may be time to head to the DMV. Officials have just issued a reminder to New Yorkers that they will soon need the updated form of identification if they want to board a commercial flight using their driver's license. Here's How Many Tickets State Police Dished Out During 'Operation Hardhat' Details
Not so fast. New York State Police troopers going undercover as construction workers in work zones dished out nearly 2,000 tickets for various violations during a special “Operation Hardhat” detail. Beginning in July and stretching through November, State Police teamed with the New York State Department of Transportation and Thruway Authority to crack down on work zone violations and encourage safer driving. NY Starts Monthlong Underage Drinking Crackdown
New York is cracking down on underage drinking, launching a monthlong initiative to curtail minors from purchasing or consuming alcohol. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the New York State Liquor Authority and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles will be working with local law enforcement agencies to conduct statewide sweeps of locations holding liquor licenses.
