Covid-19: Westchester Sees Uptick In Cases, Here's Brand-New Rundown By Municipality
Westchester has seen a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases in recent days, as the infection rate in the Hudson Valley climbed over 1 percent for the first time in more than a week.
The State Department of Health reported that there were 54 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Westchester, bringing the total to 36,540 since the pandemic was first reported in New Rochelle in early March.
In the Hudson Valley region, the infection rate rose from 0.8 percent on both Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16 to 1.3 percent on Monday, Aug. 17, health officials said.

Isaias Outage Update: Tens Of Thousands Still Without Power In Westchester
Tens of thousands of Con Edison and NYSEG customers are still without in Westchester County five days after Tropical Storm Isaias devastated the region.
On Sunday, Aug. 9 at around 9:40 a.m., 34,842 of Con Edison’s 360,045 customers are without power (9.7 percent), and 1,677 of NYSEG’s 33,278 customers in Northern Westchester (5 percent) were reporting outages.
Con Ed has estimated that power will be restored no later than 11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10. NYSEG has not provided an estimated time of restoration.

Here's Latest Isaias Power Outage Update For Westchester
Tens of thousands of Con Edison and NYSEG customers are still without in Westchester County four days after Tropical Storm Isaias devastated the region.
On Saturday at around 9:30 a.m., Aug. 8, 52,373 of Con Edison’s 360,045 customers are without power (14.6 percent), and 4,629 of NYSEG’s 33,278 customers in Northern Westchester (13.9 percent) were reporting outages.
Con Ed has estimated that power will be restored no later than 11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 10. NYSEG has not provided an estimated time of restoration.

Some Westchester residents may be without power through the weekend, as utility crews continue working to repair the damage caused by Tropical Storm Isaias.
Despite calling in outside contractors to assist, thousands of Con Edison and NYSEG customers in Westchester are still reporting outages three days after the storm toppled trees and power lines.

Isaias New Power Outage Update: These Westchester Communities Are Most Affected
Thousands have had power restored, but more than 100,000 in Westchester remain without power days after Tropical Storm Isaias wreaked havoc on the region.
According to the company, in 36 hours, Con Edison crews reached the halfway mark in restorations following Isaias’ punishing winds and rain that brought down thousands of trees, 78 poles, and other equipment, causing over 580 road closures and approximately 300,000 customer outages.
