Second Closure For I-95 Bridge Replacement Project Starts Contracting crews are gearing up to shut down a stretch of I-95 for the second weekend in a row as they continue working on a multi-million dollar bridge replacement project in Fairfield County. Earlier this year, the Connecticut State Department of Transportation announced plans to replace the Route 1 overpass at Exit 9 in Stamford with a new steel and concrete structure over the summer.
