Stolen Vehicle Abandoned After Being Involved In Westchester Crash, Police Say Police investigators in Westchester are attempting to locate the driver of a stolen vehicle that was found abandoned following a crash in Westchester. Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department received a tip shortly after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from a passerby who reported a one-vehicle crash on Innes Road. Police said that the investigation into the crash led them to the owner of the vehicle, a Scarsdale resident, who stated that she did not drive the vehicle, nor did he permit anyone else to have access to it. Driver Takes Police On High-Speed Chase In Westchester Before Crashing Into Tree A 23-year-old man with a dozen suspensions on his license took officers on a short high-speed chase in Westchester before it came to a crashing halt when he struck an ornamental tree, police said. An officer on patrol from the Scarsdale Police Department on Weaver Street was alerted by his vehicle’s License Plate Reader stating that a 2017 Chevrolet had been suspended or revoked due to “for-hire insurance canceled.” According to police, the officer later saw the vehicle pull into the Balducci’s parking lot and the driver turned the headlights off in an attempt to hide himself, police said.…
