Car Slams Into Tree, Bursts Into Flames In Bedford A driver was hospitalized after crashing their car into a tree in Northern Westchester, starting a fire that stretched to surrounding brush. The crash happened in Bedford on Wednesday morning, Nov. 20, when a vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree on Harris Road, according to the Bedford Fire Department.  The car ignited on impact, prompting a quick response from fire crews.  The driver was later rushed to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.
