Road-Rage Incident Breaks Out Amid Gridlock During Morning Commute On I-684
Update An area man who allegedly brandished a machete during a road-rage incident on I-684 in Northern Westchester on Tuesday morning was arraigned on six charges. Roderick Davis of Danbury was arrested by New York State Police after getting into the fight with another motorist. I-684 Gridlock: Multiple Crashes Snarl Morning Commute
This story has been updated. There continues to be gridlock on a stretch of southbound I-684 Tuesday morning following multiple crashes involving 10 or more vehicles. The right lane has been blocked in the area of Route 138 in Goldens Bridge for more than two hours with stopped traffic at the scene of the crash and gridlock stretching back near the Putnam County border, north of Hardscrabble Road (Exit 8). A pair of men have admitted to their roles in a “complex identity fraud scheme” that allowed them to fraudulently “purchase” and possess high-end vehicles from car dealerships throughout Westchester. Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands, Brings Down Trees In Northern Westchester
A severe storm that swept through Northern Westchester late Tuesday afternoon resulted in numerous downed trees and has knocked out power to thousands of homes and businesses. At 5:45 p.m., 6,202 NYSEG customers lost power in Northern Westchester, mainly in Bedford, Lewisboro and Pound Ridge. Con Ed reported 1,398 outages in the Northern Westchester communities it serves. A 30-year-old woman has become the latest person arrested after a string of thefts from auto dealers in Westchester. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr. announced the arrest on Tuesday in the theft of a Toyota SUV from a Mount Kisco car dealership using a stolen identity. Shamakia Walker turned herself into Mount Kisco Police Sunday. I-684 Delays After Crash In Northern Westchester

There are residual delays on a stretch of northbound I-684 late Friday afternoon following a crash that initially blocked two lanes just as the evening commute is getting started. The crash occurred at Route 22/138 in Goldens Bridge and took out the right lane at 3:45 p.m. after both the right and center lanes had been blocked before the center lane reopened. Two Northern Westchester Store Clerks Sold Alcohol To Minors, Police Say
Clerks at two stores in Northern Westchester were charged with selling alcohol to underage customers in a detail conducted by New York State Police from the Somers barracks on Friday, April 27. A total of 10 establishments were checked during the detail. The two clerks charged were: Danbury resident Nube M. Real Estate Broker, Developer Bill King Of Goldens Bridge Dies At 49
William C. King of Goldens Bridge died suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 7.He was 49. Bill graduated from Walter Panas High School in 1986, and worked in real estate as a real estate broker and developer for the last 31 years. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Goldens Bridge Fire Department since 2011.
